Will be very difficult tickets were sold via a lottery system some time ago and very expensive. black market tickets will be even more expensive. also nearly impossible to get a hotel room in Vancouver, or so I've heard.

depends on if your olympic committee still has tickets left for figure skating. they were sold via a lottery system two months ago. but anyway this Dutch travel agency has tours which cost about 4000 euros, excluding tickets for events. no idea where I should get the money from.

The Italian Commitee agency still has tickets for figure skating (well, I actually only asked for ice-dance which is the only thing I would be able to afford...IF that!) There are still some reasonably cheap flights to Vancouver (well, considering it's the Olys season at least), around € 850/900. It is very tempting, but at the moment I have no money to book neither the tkts nor the flight! Is anyone here considering to at least try to go? That would help sorting out the accomodation problem, which is indeed the most problematic aspect of the trip! I know Xavi is! Renee? Just considering....or is it out of question?

Dutch fed only has tickets left for Pairs free and men's short so no But let's be realistic: no matter how badly I want to go I think it will be impossible in the end. Airfares are getting higher by the day, and consdering that as of today (June 2nd) I still don't have a job, by the time I have some money, it won't even be enough to buy a ticket to the CDs. It's true that when there's a will there's a way but...

great work guys. Hope you win the gold. But the routine is in very poor taste for the olympics. Whoever thought of this program should have researched the context of the dance in Vancouver. That Australia is upset about the racial dance will be light compared to the reaction in Vancouver. The aboriginal population in Canada is very marginalized and the most empathy that Canadians show are those who live in Vancouver. Expect to be BOOed for the show. I cannot believe you are performing this dance with those ridiculous costumes in Vancouver. It might have been fine in Eastern Europe but not Western Canada!!!

I agree with you fromcanada, they should have researched this dance better. I hope they can make some changes to it before the Olympics... I would hate to see them get booed there especially because they mean no harm with the dance. But they made a mistake in approaching this subject so lightly

www.nbcolympics.com/olympicpulse/blogs/blog=intheloop/postid=405485.html#tango+romanticallyTango-ing, romantically News and notes from Vancouver... Who's to judge? The ice dance edition... Demoted Azerbaijani judge Irina Nechkina is back and on the list of Olympic judges. Nechkina was removed from the Torino dance panel after an ISU demotion following 2006 Europeans. (Not all judges' scores will be counted, however. A secret computer drawing takes place prior to each event to determine which of the nine judges' scores will count.) The ice dance technical panel is Marika Humphreys-Baranova (GBR), Francesca Fermi (ITA), and Katalin Alpern (controller, ISR). Halina Gordon Poltorak is the referee. The technical panel is in charge of, among other things, determining the level of difficulty of each element.
