Here are some 2008 CoC Domshab CD photo links, thanks to South Korea's Yonhap News Agency.

Ice Dancing, Compulsory Dance The Compulsory Dance at the Cup of China was the Viennese Waltz. The Viennese Waltz is a light and graceful dance which must be skated at a good pace with strongly curved edges, soft knee action, neat and unobtrusive footwork, elegant carriage and pronounced free leg extension, even on the one-beat steps. The feeling of waltzing in a grand ballroom must be projected. The Viennese Waltz was created by Eric van der Weyden and Eva Keats and first performed in London in 1934.
Oksana Domnina/Maxim Shabalin of Russia took the lead with Tanith Belbin/Benjamin Agosto (USA) and Jana Khokhlova/Sergei Novitski (RUS) following in second and third. Domnina/Shabalin, who as the top ranked couple skated last, delivered an elegant Waltz, showing off deep edges and flow. Domnina wore an unusual dress with black feathers on the top and white feathers on the skirt. The European Champions earned 38.34 points (19.28 element score/19.06 program component score).
“We were very nervous, because this is our first competition and because of my injury we didn’t know until the last moment if we can come here or not because of my injury. We skated well today and hopefully we’ll skate as well tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. We are optimistic. We have good programs and we feel that we are going into the right direction”, Shabalin said, referring to his knee injury that kept the couple out of the 2008 World Championships. “It’s a long and difficult story with our costumes. We were choosing them for a long time. We finished our programs late and obviously our costumes even later. We didn’t like some of the sketches and this dress Natalia Vladimirovna (Linitchuk, their coach) and I just found in a magazine. It was just very long and we made it shorter”, Domnina explained.
Belbin/Agosto’s Vienniese Waltz was soft and lilting, and the 2006 Olympic silver medalists earned 37.15 points (18.82/18.33). “I feel like we had more attack today (than at Skate America). At Skate America, we were confident, but we sort of skated at a very calm level. Today we tried to be a little more aggressive, and I feel like it’s the right step. So hopefully we can continue to improve the quality and the deep edges, but I think this is much improved from our previous seasons”, Belbin explained. Agosto had to overcome a fall in the warm up when he and Israeli ice dancer Roman Zaretski bumped into each other and went down. “It wasn’t like we injured ourselves, it was just kind of a little awkward slide there for a couple of seconds. In a way it’s maybe good, it kind of snaps you out of thinking too much about what you are doing. I felt we recovered fine and our warm up was very comfortable and we felt good about what we did and then our compulsory felt very good”, Agosto answered when asked about the little incident.
Khokhlova/Novitski skated also very well to score 35.88 points (17.92/17.76). “It’s difficult for me to judge our performance, as this is our first competition and we don’t see ourselves (skating). We’ll have to look (at the video). I think it was good for the first competition, because we had a long break since the past World Championships, practically half a year. The Waltz is a good dance for us and we never had any problems with it”, Novitski said.
Anna Cappellini/Luca Lanotte (ITA) finished fourth with 32.52 points while Alexandra Zaretski/Roman Zaretski (ISR) were ranked fifth (30.45 points).
